Rev. John H. Hampsch Listed in "Who's Who in Religion in America" Rev. John H. Hampsch has served as a parish priest, seminary professor, lecturer, magazine writer, newspaper columnist, editor, retreat master, hospital, prison and campus Chaplain. As well as Curillo director. He earned degrees in philosophy from Loyola Marymount University and from Notre Dame University, with postgraduate work at USC and the Dominican House of Studies in River Forest, Illinois in ascetical theology. Though he has a serious side, Fr John H. Hampsch, C.M.F. has been likened to a cross between Dave Barry and Henny Youngman with the zeal and flair of Bishop Fulton J. Sheen. Considered a master of puns, he strongly believes God has a great sense of humor which needs to be acknowledged and shared with a world which has had it with the debase and profane that have been passed off as humor. Affectionately known as the "Hampschter", this Claretain Missionary is truly in touch with bring Christ's message to the mass media through his role as the officer of the Los Angeles Archdiocesan Communication Association in addition to hosting a national weekly TV program "Sending forth Your Spirit".
