Of All That Is, Seen and Unseen: Life-Saving Answers to Life-Size Questions

In his January 24, 2012 letter, entitled "Silence and Word: Path of Evangelization," Pope Benedict XVI expressed his deep concern for the new evangelization efforts of the Catholic Church. He wrote: “faith is in danger of being put out, as a flame that finds no more fuel. We find ourselves before a profound crisis of faith, before a loss of the religious sense that is the greatest challenge for today’s Church.” It is my intense hope that this book may provide some fuel for the dwindling flame of our faith. That’s why this book was especially written for Catholics in search of the truth, as it gives life-saving answers to life-size questions. It belongs basically to the genre of apologetics and evangelization, thoroughly rooted in the Catholic tradition, with a mild philosophical touch based on the tradition of St. Thomas Aquinas. Because this book has basically a format of question-and-answer, the text is most engaging to the reader. Each chapter can be read independently and can be used as an outline for discussions and seminars. It would be a perfect tool for the new evangelization. "This lively and accessible work should awaken or reawaken many Catholics to the glories of their Church as a beacon of faith and reason. It's a real contribution to the New Evangelization"

A Scriptural Guide to the Saints

A Scriptural Guide to the Saints

You were created by God to be a Saint, scripture says: "To all God's beloved in Rome, who are called to be saints: Grace to you..." (Romans 1:7) The Bible is the first book of the lives of the saints, and it is a pillar for Catholic Spirituality. As Scripture says: "Remember your leaders, who spoke to you the word of God. Consider how they ended their lives, and imitate their faith." (Hebrews 13:7) We must take this call to be saints more seriously than any other desire we have in life. To be unsuccessful in this is the only eternal failure we can make in life. There is no place we can go to avoid involvement in the war between heaven and hell on earth. We cannot remain neutral between God and the Devil; we will side with one or the other. There is no third option: 100 years from now we will either be with the saints in heaven or with the damned in hell. And, this final destination does not last 100 years, but for eternity. Our Lord said: "What does it profit a man if he gain the whole world, yet lose his own soul?" (Matt. 16:26) No task in life is more important than sainthood. This book shows the connections between the scriptures and the saints.

Included in this book are chapters covering: Scriptural Guides to Purgatory, Dreams, Nutrition, and Chastity. Plus, Practical Guidelines for Spiritual Living, Why Pray the Rosary?, Life's Answers, Understanding atheism, and the Trinity in creation.

Unabridged Christianity

Unabridged Christianity

This book is an attempt by Fr. Romero to share some of the scriptural and historical "evidence" that the contemporary Roman Catholic Church and the Apostolic Church founded by Jesus Christ circa 30 A. D. are one and the same. Using some of the commonly-heard misconceptions about the Catholic Faith as points of departure, Fr. Romero examines various key passages from Scripture, looks at historical documentation found in secular sources and, at the end of each chapter, presents quotes from the writings of the first generations of Christians to show that modern-day Catholic beliefs and practices have solid precedence in the beliefs and practices of the early Church.

Spiritual Dangers of the 21st Century

Spiritual Dangers of the 21st Century

The Seven Deadly Sins have been alive and well throughout most of human history-but in the Western world, they're now tolerated, and even celebrated, more than ever before. Immorality is nothing new, but the sins of contemporary America (especially in regards to sexual immorality, abortion, and genetic engineering and the scientific manipulation of life itself) might well shame and appall the residents of ancient Sodom and Gomorrah. Religion persecution of Christians is nothing new-but modern technology allows for the surveillance and suppression of believers to an extent previously unimaginable.

In this book, Rev. Joseph Esper provides a resource for Catholics seeking to recognize and overcome the unique spiritual dangers confronting us as the 21st Century enters its second decade. He offers us Our Call to Heroism and Holiness calling the faithful to Happiness and Growth While under Siege. Spiritual Dangers of the 21st Century presents us with Weapons in Our Spiritual Arsenal for the challenges we face daily as we are called to "the salt of the earth" and "light for the world" (Mt. 5:13-14). Faith and love will see us through. Jesus is with is always, and He has guaranteed us victory! Check out more of Father Esper's books.
